So here are a few pics and details of the finished products. All of the DP is from Scrappy Cat's Kids, Tweens, and InBetweens line.
Obviously, February's pouches were to have a Valentine's or Love theme.
Obviously, February's pouches were to have a Valentine's or Love theme.
This paper, called Candy-Heart Kisses, caught my eye because of the blue background.
Whenever I made anything as a kid for Valentine's Day, they always had paper doily hearts on them somewhere, so nostalgia set in with these! I used my Nesties scalloped circles and added white dots for a little detail. The sentiment is from a blog candy set I won from Wanda at My Creative Corner. Underneath is just a triangle of pink cardstock and I added a little red bling-stone to each corner.
The tags are just layers of cardstock (the blue is a Nestie scalloped rectangle) and the hearts were punched after the paper was embossed with Swiss Dots in the 'Bug. I popped up the hearts on dimensionals and added a little pink bling-stone to the top corners (they aren't very blingy in the pic) and the back is blank for writing.

March's pouches were to have a spring theme and initially, I wanted to do something more versatile than St. Patrick's Day, but now I wish I had gone with St. Pat's!! While I like the paper called Soda-Pop Butterflies because of the spring green background and the pinks and yellows and blues, I fear the finished pouches are more like early summer. Sorry Paola!
For the front flap, I layered a pink Prima over a white silk flower and joined them with a spring green brad through a small punched white cardstock flower. I layered that onto an orange Nestie scalloped circle from craft store dotted DP, and scattered little flowers across the flap that I punched from that same DP.
For the tags, this DP is called Cupcake Sprinkle (I love these names!) and is layered with pink and orange cardstock. For the medallions, I punched out some of the butterflies from the pouch DP and popped 'em up on white circles over yellow scalloped circles, then added a little ribbon pull behind those. The backs are blank for writing, but looking at these, I am seeing a bookmark . . .
Something I've noticed is, the more I do non-card projects, the more excited I become about papercrafting and stamping and card making. It's not that I don't enjoy making cards; on the contrary, I love doing the swaps and making a special card now and then for someone special in my life. It does make me feel good when someone says, I can't believe you made that just for me!
But making non-card projects is keeping me excited about all the different things that can be done with paper and stamps and color and embellishments, and I think it's actually helping me with my card-making mojo too.
Hope you're keeping your mojo motivated too!!
Happy Creating!
Susan
